IST 226 Project

The project can either be a traditional web site or a project that demonstrates, explains, or analyzes one or more techniques that we have learned in this class.  Guidance on a traditional web site can be found elsewhere.  For a traditional web site that you are doing from scratch, a proposal is encouraged but not required.  If you are modifying an existing project, you must submit a proposal that describes your proposed changes.  This is a statement of intentions, not a firm commitment on your part.

The purpose of a technique project is to demonstrate, explain, or analyze one or more techniques that we have learned in this class by constructing one or more web pages utilizing JavaScript, stylesheets, DHTML, or the use of graphics and web development tools such as FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Paint Shop Pro, Flash, etc.

Documentation of the technique(s) is important.  This could be done in a variety of ways -- by constructing a web tutorial in the use of the technique, documenting it with comments (e.g for JavaScript), or other means.

The project should be FTPd to your web site and will be due on Thursday, December 14th, the day after the final.  Please email me the link when you are finished and link it from your home page.   If you would like to present your project in draft form in class on Monday, December 11th, I'm sure your classmates would enjoy seeing it.
