In this course, you will create web pages and transfer them to the internet. NVCC has created a personal web space for you where you can host your pages. Alternatively, you may choose to host them on space provided by your Internet Service Provider if you have one. If you choose to host your work at NVCC, all the instructor needs to know is your LAN ID. To get this, go to the schedule page for this class at www.billpegram.com and follow the link to Getting Started for week 1 and follow the directions. If you choose to host your work elsewhere, I need to know the complete URL of your web space.
Reply to the welcome message sent to you by the instructor to your VCCS email account (or the preferred email you have designed in NovaConnect) by supplying your LAN ID (if you are hosting your work at NVCC) or the complete URL of your website if you are hosting it elsewhere.
Unless you plan to check your VCCS email regularly, set this account up for automatic forwarding to an account you will check regularly or change your preferred email address in NovaConnect.
