  1. Arithmetic Operators - + (addition), - (subtraction), * (multiplication), / (division), % (percent), ^ (exponentiation)
  2. Absolute cell reference - will not change when copied, unlike a relative cell reference. A $ can be placed before the column reference, the row reference, or both - which is appropriate will depend on the situation
  3. The range finder visually indicates which workbook cells are included in a formula calculation
  4. When you add a row or column, or delete a row or column, Excel adjusts all the formulas in the worksheet that were affected by inserting or deleting this row or column - but you must pay attention to where you do the insertion or deletion for whether the formula will be adjusted. For example
