Share Movie

These are notes on the Adobe video https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/how-to/export-video-share-social-media.html

Export a Video File

Open the 10_01 project file. There are a wide variety of options for media file export but you can often use a preset that will do all the choosing for you. With the Going Home sequence the active panel, choose File > Export > Media which brings up the Export Settings dialog.

Lower down in the Export Settings dialog, there are several categories: effect, video, audio, etc. If you choose video, you'll see that most of the settings are grayed out, and this is because there is a checkmark for each category so that it will match the source. If you uncheck the box, you can then change the settings.

Higher up in the Export Settings dialog, there is a summary of the Output and Source. The output settings in this case will match the source settings because the Preset we are using is Match Source - High bitrate. The output name shows the name of the output file and by clicking on it, you can specify where it will be stored. Go ahead and save it to the default location and then click Export at the bottom of the dialog and the new file will be created - in this case an mp4. At home in CC 2018, I encountered a delay in the encoding step and the program eventually hung but did not with CC 2018 in the classroom.

Open the 10_02 project file. Make sure the Timeline panel is active and choose File > Export >Media. In the Export Setting dialog, I'll choose H264 and Math Source - High bitrate and then click on the output file name to make sure where the file will be saved. Then click Publish.

Facebook - I tried logging in to Facebook and got a series of requests for permission, but nothing seemed to happen.
FTP - Premiere Pro connected successfully to the server, but again hung in the encoding step.
